Wayland holds a Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from Lamar University and is supervised by Gina Luera, LPC-S. He provides counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, life transitions, parenting concerns, family conflict, and questions related to identity. His approach is person-centered, practical, and collaborative, drawing from Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Wayland believes therapy should be flexible and individualized, and he enjoys helping clients find approaches that fit their lives, strengths, and ways of thinking. A former special education teacher, he is especially skilled at supporting neurodivergent clients and those may not have felt fully understood in past therapeutic or educational settings.
